Meeting with the driver and the guide in hotel. Starting from the National Archaeological Museum, on the ground floor you will observe the superb collection of Greco-Roman sculpturesd - some found locally in Pompeii and Herculaneum - and other part of the Farnese collection.Then you will see the fabulous "Mosaics of Pompeii" followed by the Galleria Antica di Napoli which houses exhibits on the history of Naples, along with a superb series of terracotta heads. Upstaris you will see fabulous frescoes, a wonderful collection of small bronzes, silver, glass, and ivory from Pompeii and Hercolanuem as well as a section dedicated entirely to the artefacts that were recovered from the famous Villa dei Papiri. A fine Egiptian collection will end the morning visit. Proceeding up the Capodimonte hill, you will visit the National Gallery of Capodimonte which houses one of the finest collections of paintings in Italy with works by Raphael, Botticelli and Caravaggio. In the Museum you will also admire a splendid collection of majolica and porcelain that includes the glorious Salottino di Porcellana (Porcelain Room), completely lined with 3.000 beautyful tiles of Capodimonte porcelain. You will conclude our tour in the lush park that surrounds the Royal Palace where we enajoy a breathtaking view of the Bay of Naples. Return to hotel.
