Meeting with the driver and the guide in hotel.
The tour will start from the Horne Museum housed in a late 15th century building, bought by the art historian Herbert Percy Horne with the purpose of setting up a typical wealthy Renaissance residence. We will be viewing both medieval and Renaissance paintings and a wide collection of coins, medals and ceramics. From there we will proceed to Casa Buonarroti where we will admire early works by Michelangelo. We will then go on to see the Santa Croce Church with the tomb of Michelangelo and the Opera Museum (Cathedral museum) which hosts works by Della Robbia , Donatello, Michelangelo and the original panels of the Gates of Paradise.
