Driving through thye green and fertile Tuscany countrysidee you will arrive in the hostoric University city of Piusa,which was one of the known four Marine Repubblics and is still famous for architectural beauty and for being a major cultural Tuscany center, celebrated for its scientific school which after the teaching of Galileo Galilei maintained its fame high in Europe. Upon arrival in Pisa meeting with expert localguide for a walking tour of Piazza dei Miracoli with its celebrated Leaning Tower, Baptistery and Cathredal, unrivalled masterpiece of Romanesque art built between the 11th and the 12th century. Piazza dei Miracoli embodies thewhole span of human existence : birth is represented by the Baptistery, the Tower symbolises the attainment of reason, the Cathedral thet of sanctity, and death is represented by the Camposanto.
After lunch (not included) you will travel to Lucca , one of the most elegant and fascinating towns in Tuscany.
A pleasant walk with your private local guide will take you along the famous 16th century walls, then enteringinto the enchanting historical center where you will have the chance to admire the amazing Piazza Anfiteatro, the Torre Giunigi, the DUomo di San Martino and the typical "antique dealers' street".
Don't leave the town until you've had a chance to see the very distincitve Piazza del Mercato - built over an ancient Roman amphitheatre - and the Puccini museum honouring the town's favourite son.
