Venturing out from the city centre from Floridiana Park, you will discover the Hill of Vomero, which is well known for its splendid panorama view of the Bay of Naples. At the top of the hill you will visit the star-shaped Castel S. Elmo and at its base is the Certosa di S. Martino which houses an unparalleled collection of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, glass, jewellery, Presepi, and other Neapolitan figurines. Continuing along the lively Via Manzoni, you will visit the verdant Hill of Posillipo and the little fishermen's village of Marechiaro, known for its 'Fenestella' which was made famous by the poetry of Salvatore di Giacomo. After lunch you will visit the Parco Virgiliano and enjoy one of the most spectacular settings nature has created. Following Via Posillipo, you will take a walk along the Bay, which overlooks the sea through parks and villas. You will continue to Mergellina, a superb street, which is surrounded by many chalets and typical restaurants. Finally, you will reach the Borgo Marinaro with the famous Castel dell'Ovo, to enjoy a splendid vista of Mount Vesuvio to the east and the Bay of Naples to the west.
