Enjoy a walking tour of San Gimignano. After a walk through this beautiful hill town to explore some of its churches and quaint side streets, there will be free time for shopping and a light lunch (not included in the package).You'll then continue south to the lesser-known, but beautiful hill town of Colle Val D'Elsa, a city which dates back to the Middle Ages built on two levels. We'll walk the cobble-stone streets of Upper Colle and then proceed on to the fortress city of Monteriggioni.Dante was so impressed with the shape of this city that he used it as a metaphor for one of the rings of the inferno; he described it as a "ringed shaped citadel whose circling ramparts are crowned with towers."In between hill towns you'll drive along the cypress lined roads that do this beautiful landscape that so characterize Tuscany, and you'll feel as if you just as if we were inside one of the famous paintings of the Renaissance masters.
